A Series of Attempts--Video

Its a pleasure to share A Series of Attempts.  This is a piece that gave me the opportunity to work with my brother, Kamau Bilal, who filmed this beautiful video.  Filmed on site at my MFA art exhibition, the (w)hole part, which explored the themes of cycle, layers, and paradox.  These words are about searching-within and without- and the unexpected places that one goes to in the process.
